Jerry became a follower of Christ at the age of 16 after hearing the gospel shared through an evangelistic talk given by a basketball player—an encounter that would ultimately shape the direction of his life and ministry. He has been a devoted husband to his wonderful wife, Jennifer, for 32 years. He is father to four—Jana, Josiah, Jaxson, and Jude—and papa to Eden and Elijah. A graduate of Clearwater Christian College with a degree in Church Ministry, Jerry has served in ministry for over 25 years and currently serves as the Lead Pastor here at Christ Community Church. He is passionate about faithfully preaching the Word of God, counseling others with biblical truth and wisdom, and encouraging people to treasure Christ above all else. In his free time, Jerry loves spending time with his family, staying active with a run at the track, and watching sports—whether on TV or from the sidelines of one of his kids’ games—and appreciates a perfectly crisp Coke Zero whenever he can get one.
